Note: Following the publishing of this post, on October 7, 2016, Governor Kenneth Mapp signed the bill into law "...amending title 17 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 5, section 41, subsection (c) "[a] structured civics course for grades 9-12 which utilizes materials relevant to the 8 Virgin Islands and includes the functions of the three branches of Government of the Virgin Islands 9 and the roles of public officials..."
